“Words from Rashad Morris”

It has been a grueling long journey from when I left the Navy to where I am now.  When I decided I wanted a career as a System Operator I had no idea how I would get there.  Then I came across the Power4Vets program. Now, I would like to say I breezed right through it and got a job right away but truthfully, I did not.  I staggered and I faltered many times, not because of the program, but for personal reasons and the Power4Vets team was very flexible and patient with me during these trying times in order for me to meet my goal of becoming a System Operator.  Fortunately, I had David Miranda to guide me back on track every single time and I know that I found employment with Entergy in Woodlands, Texas thanks in large part to all the hard work David put in and I received a starting salary higher than I have seen with any other job opportunity that I have applied for to date.  I am truly grateful for the entire teams’ efforts, and I wanted to let folks know that the Power4Vets program is truly effective and respected in the industry and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in the field.
