WELCOME TO POWER4VETS
Veteran Training & Placement Program
The mission of the Power4Vets™ program is to help veterans start new careers in the power and energy industry. The men and women who monitor and control the North American electric power grids are a highly specialized and highly trained group of operators who shoulder a huge responsibility. The quality of their decisions affects the reliable delivery of electricity to millions of customers, the safety and lives of field crews, and the protection of multi-million dollar equipment.
At IncSys we believe that this important task can be filled by qualifying veterans and so the Power4Vets program was born. The multi-faceted program is designed to match the human talent needs of America’s electric power organizations with the skills, experience, and knowledge of United States Military Veterans.
Many veteran programs simply redirect veterans to job postings. At Power4Vets we are different. We provide veterans with relevant coursework, simulator training, certification prep, coaching, and job placement assistance.
Currently, Power4Vets students and graduates are working at over 90+ different organizations nationwide. The Power4Vets network of participating employers is rapidly growing as companies are eager to hire our graduates who are qualified, simulator-trained, and NERC-certified.
IncSys has been the industry expert in simulation-based operator training for the past 25 years. This expertise is made available to vets and is the most unique feature of the Power4Vets™ Program. All participants are required to train with and apply their knowledge and skills to realistic power grids by using the same industry leading operator training simulator that the professionals use.
Students are trained using a combination of (1) Online Tutorials and (2) Simulator Exercises which are delivered within a unique online Learning Management System so the students can complete the training on their own schedule. Since the goal is to pass the NERC Certification Exam, the final step of the training provides (3) NERC Certification Prep materials. Becoming NERC Certified gives Power4Vets students an unparalleled advantage throughout the job placement process.
Job Placement Assistance
IncSys will provide students with assistance in the job search process. Power4Vets alumni are currently working at 90+ organizations nationwide. This network of supporting employers is an invaluable resource for our students. Power4Vets administrators help you find job openings and then help prepare you for both the application and interview processes.
Post-Employment Payment Plan
The Power4Vets™ program provides its power system operations training, NERC exam preparation course, coaching resources, and job placement assistance through a unique service package which ensures that all our students receive the full value of the services rendered. This program has a proven success rate and IncSys is so confident that our students who successfully complete the program will pass the certification exam and obtain jobs in the power industry. Therefore, when accepted into the program, candidates are not required to pay for the program services until after they secure employment in the industry.
Upon admission into the program the veteran will sign a service payment agreement for the total program cost of $5,000. This full amount is to be paid to IncSys over a 6-12 month structured payment plan beginning only after the student accepts a position in the power industry. This also applies to students currently working in the industry and become NERC certified through the program. The specific details of the payment plan is dependent on the individual's employment specifics, i.e. salary.
