The successful applicant will be provided a Power4Vets Program Manual and Study Guide that walks them, step by step, through the program. You will be contacted early in the program to develop a personalized training plan. Periodically the student will be contacted by a Power4Vets™ representative to answer any questions and assess progress.
STEP 4 - Begin the Training
The student will be trained to become a power system operator - a process that takes between 2 and 4 months depending on the motivation level of the student. The training plan consists of simulation based tutorials and exercises and culminates in passing the certification test to operate the grid: NERC certification.
