Key Partners ยป The IncSys Advantage
IncSys prides itself on delivering innovative solutions to meet the most challenging power system operator needs. In order to accomplish this commission, IncSys has developed a diverse team of strategic partnerships
with leading thought innovators throughout the energy, software, and training industries.
PowerData Corporation
IncSys has worked in a partnership with PowerData since 1995, with the objective of making operator training simulators easier to use and more affordable for utilities of all sizes. PowerData Corporation handles the design, development, internal testing, delivery and software support of the PowerSimulator software, management of all internal computers, management of the Amazon EC2 cloud computers and assembly, configuration, shipment and servicing of the PowerSimulator BRICKs. IncSys and PowerData are currently working to deploy an open computer hardware and software architecture throughout the Iraq Ministry of Electricity distribution networks.
SOS International
SOS Intl., IncSys and PowerData formed a partnership in 2004 to develop Emergency Operations with PowerSimulator (EOPS). EOPS is 60 hours of on-line self-paced training with a combination of on-line tutorials and simulator based exercises. EOPS provides NERC CE and Simulator Emergency Operations training. SOS Intl, IncSys and PowerData are developing a cost effective approach whereby RTOs, TOPs and BAs can comply with the NERC PER 005 using a combination of Generic PowerSimulator training, Custom PowerSimulator training, On the Job Training and Replica EMS simulator training if one is available. The on-line training and classroom training offered by SOS International will use the upgraded PowerSimulator software and training materials as they are released. learn more
Gonzaga University
The Gonzaga University (GU) ZagOps training center provides an ideal setting for training operators based on a PowerSimulator BRICK and twenty dual screen workstations. ZagOps has been used by WECC and SOS International to deliver classroom training for NERC certified system operators. GU students are working under the direction of Marck Robinson (PowerData) so that the PowerSimulator real-time database, event processor and user interface software will run distributed across parallel processors. learn more
Centralia College
Centralia College's Pacfic Northwest Center of Excellence for Clean Energy (PNCECE) is a nationally recognized model providing strategic coordination for the energy industry's skilled workforce in the Pacific Northwest. PNCECE has been awarded a DOE grant for workforce training. PNCECE represents a partnership that includes consumer-owned and investor-owned utilities; a federal power-marketing administration; organized labor; a national laboratory; and numerous community colleges and universities located in the Pacific Northwest region represented by Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Utah. IncSys and PNCECE have partnered to leverage their combined DOE grants in order to help prepare the next generation of workers in the utility and energy manufacturing industries for Smart Grid-related jobs. learn more
CEPEL Brazil
IncSys and PowerData, developed the software interfaces to integrate the SAGE Energy Management System (EMS) with PowerSimulator and the EPRI Operator Training Simulator (OTS). The SAGE EMS is interfaced to PowerSimulator instead of interfacing to Remote Terminal Units and data concentrators. PowerSimulator runs a simulation of the entire network and generates a new set of analog and status points every few seconds. PowerSimulator with EPRI OTS has now been commissioned to train operators in the following control centers: ONS National Control Center in Brazilia, ONS Southeast Regional Control Center in Rio de Janeiro, CHESF Transmission Company Control Center in Recife, CTEEP Transmission Company Control Center in Sao Paulo. learn more
RTI International
RTI International is one of the world's leading research institutes, dedicated to improving the human condition by turning knowledge into practice. IncSys is partnering with RTI and is currently fulfilling a contract with the Iraq Ministry of Electricity through the U.S. Department of State to design and implement a new SCADA software system for the Iraq 33/11 KV Distribution Network. learn more
IEEE Power & Energy Society
The Community Solutions Initiative (CSI) is a not-for-profit member group of the IEEE Power & Energy Society. CSI is committed to the open-source design and eventual delivery of energy solutions to the world's poorest and most energy-deprived populations. Robin Podmore, IncSys President, is co-chair of the CSI group and using the expertise and experience of IncSys to make the project a success.learn more |
